The digitization of music has revolutionized the music industry. Digital music is easily copied, transmitted and stored. This very flexibility has caused confusion in the music industry because it is so difficult to enforce copyright laws. Apple opened its online store iTunes in 2003. By 2006, the Store had sold over 1 billion songs, or more than 80% of worldwide online digital music sales.

Apple's iPod media player can hold up 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos, and more. It is a media player for all types of entertainment, including music videos, TV shows, Podcasts and audio books. •
